SAP Solution Manager 7.2 is out!

As our customers and regular visitors know, we at Rapid ERP are great advocates of SAP Solution Manager 7.1. Over the last 5 years this release of has been instrumental in increasing the adoption of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) best practices across SAP’s customer base. It has changed the perception of ALM from ‘something that was best left to SAP Basis’ to that of a set of processes and tools that can provide real business value in helping to manage, understand and improve the implementation and ongoing operation of SAP applications. Ultimately SAP Solution Manager 7.1 had started to bridge the gap between IT and the Business users.

SAP Solution Manager Upgrade Timeline

Whilst there is still life left in release 7.1 (end of mainstream maintenance is planned for 31.12.2017) and plenty of reasons to start making use of the available functionality, attentions will naturally be shifting towards the next release that will be available in Q3 this year – SAP Solution Manager 7.2. Whilst continuing its previous core focus of improving operations, SAP Solution Manager 7.2 will vastly improve the SAP S/4 HANA implementation process and further help to bridge the gap in understanding between Business and IT through a renewed focus on Business Process Management.

As you will see, SAP Solution Manager has transformed from an Application Lifecycle Management tool to become SAP’s ‘Digital Business Service Delivery Platform’, supporting: Process Management, Agile innovation, Cloud and Hybrid SAP solutions, and, importantly SAP S/4HANA adoption.
